INSECT-Class River Gunboat ordered from Barclay Curie and launched on 19th December 1915 as the 1st RN ship to carry this name. Build was completed in February 1916.

Addendum

 

HMS CICALA in HONG KONG

by George Moor

George's grandfather, John Reuben Moor served in World War 1, and was later awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. His service included HMS Cicala, and two of his photographs follow - HMS Cicala in Hong Kong, and her British and Chinese crew:
