Attached to 1st BS, Home Fleet on completion; recommissioned for 2nd LCS in Mediterranean January 1913. On outbreak of war chased Goeben and Breslau; took part in hunt for Emden in November 1914 but returned to Mediterranean the same month. Was to join 2nd LCS, Grand Fleet, but detained to search off coast of Africa for German AMC Kronprinz Wilhelm. Joined 3rd LCS in February 1915 and captured German supply ship Macedonia the same month. Shelled Galway during Easter Uprising, April 1916; 2nd LCS before Jutland (Battle Honour - Jutland 1916); from December 1916 to Armistice served in Adriatic with 8th LCS (apart from detached duty in East Indies in April 1917). Paid off into reserve at Devonport April 1919, then put on Disposal List in March 1920 and sold May 1921 to Ward, Briton Ferry for breaking-up.
